Kercock Fishings

Kercock Fishings ,Scotland

Glenda will be running three courses on the River Tay in 2021. Guests will be staying at the Tayside Hotel and the course will be held at the wonderful Kercock beat over three days.  Gary the resident Fishing manager and ghillie will also be there to help on the course days.

Salmon fishing is offered on the River Tay, from 15th January through to the 15th October at Kercock Beat which has 2 and a quarter miles double-bank fishing and is also under the ownership of Glenprosen Estate.  This beat is the closest part of the Tay to the estate and has a five-year average of 163 salmon and grilse.  The largest salmon caught on the Tay in over 20 years was caught by a guest on the beat in 2013.

The Tayside Hotel was originally built to serve anglers who came from far and wide to fish for salmon on the River Tay.  The Tayside Hotel has been welcoming weary travellers with good food and a warm bed for over 100 years.  Times have definitely changed, however at the Tayside Hotel they are proud to continue this tradition by offering genuine warm hospitality, well appointed guest rooms and traditional home-cooked cuisine in a unique atmosphere that will allow customers to relax, unwind and take in all that this wonderful hotel has to offer.
